Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment

How to fulfill your non-Amazon orders with Amazon stock automatically!

What is Multi-Channel Fulfillment?

Multi-Channel Fulfillment allows you to fulfill orders from non-Amazon marketplaces/sites such as eBay, your own website, etc. with your Amazon inventory.

How Does it Work?

When an order comes in from a non-Amazon marketplace/site for a SKU that exists within your Amazon inventory, it will get sent to Amazon for fulfillment. When Amazon ships the order, SellerActive will retrieve the tracking information and route it to the marketplace or site that the order originated from.

Supported marketplaces/sites include: 

  • BigCommerce
  • eBay (includes eBay Motors)
  • Etsy
  • Newegg
  • Shopify
  • Walmart
  • WooCommerce (without tracking updates)

In order for this process to work your SKU's much match across your sales channels. If your non-Amazon SKU does not match your Amazon SKU, the orders will not be able to route over to Amazon successfully. 

Does it make sense for me to use Multi-Channel Fulfillment?

This must be answered on a case-by-case basis depending on a variety of factors such as your margins and MCF fees. However, Multi-Channel Fulfillment is a great way to list your inventory across multiple platforms while having it warehoused and shipped by Amazon.

How do I set up Multi-Channel Fulfillment?

1. Integrate Amazon and the channels you'd like to fulfill using MCF in order to import your products. If some products are not yet listed on the channels, you may also then list your products on your non-Amazon marketplaces/sites with the same SKU as your Amazon items.

Note: If you are using Marketplace Management for inventory management, the quantity available in the Amazon warehouse will automatically sync to your other marketplaces where the SKUs match.

 

2. Map your shipping methods within the integrations page (Settings -> Integrations -> My Services -> Amazon FBA) in your SellerActive account. If you have not already enabled the service, you can select the "add services" box.

If you do have this enabled, selecting "Amazon FBA" will display this window:

  • You need to do this so that SellerActive knows whether to have Amazon ship your orders with Standard, Expedited, or Priority shipping.
  • You will create a shipping method mapping for each delivery method you offer on your non-Amazon marketplaces/sites that have items that you want cross-channel fulfilled. 
  • For sales channels that do not allow the use of Amazon packaging and Amazon Logistics as a carrier, you also have the options to block Amazon Logistics as a shipping carrier and fulfill using Blank Boxes.

3. Turn on outbound Quantity and Order Tracking settings for the channels you'd like to fulfill using MCF under Integrations > Settings.  

4. You're all set! As long as there is one established mapping in place, we will send Amazon quantities to your sales channels. Moving forward all future orders with a corresponding Amazon SKU will be sent to Amazon for fulfillment
